During their pre-E3 press conference which was held last night, the team at Konami Digital Entertainment unveiled a brand new trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. This is a sequel to the first installment in the Lords of Shadow saga for the franchise, and is set to be released on the Playstation 3, XBox360 and PC platforms this Winter gaming season.
Lords of Shadow 2 picks up from where the first game left off, with a resurrected Dracula left weakened by his ordeal and yearning for release from his immortal bonds. Besieged from all sides, he is also threatened by Satan who has returned to walk the Earth in a quest to bring about the apocalypse as a final act of revenge for his own defeat. Thus, the weakened Dracula must regain his lost powers in order to make a pact with Death to defeat the Devil and gain eternal rest. However, the famed Belmont clan are also intent on slaying the Vampire, and unlocking the truth behind their mysterious ancestry.
Thus, the fight between good and evil comes to a dramatic close, as Dracula faces his nemesis in Satan, and the Belmonts’ unyielding quest for revenge.
