Agarest: Generations of War Posted Up Onto Steam Greenlight Service

-

steamworkshop_collection_1364986693_collection_brandingOriginally only available for home video game consoles, it turns out that Ghostlight have sneakily launched Agarest: Generations of War to the Steam Greenlight service for the Windows PC. Of course, it is not up on Steam yet – and if you want to see it released when place your vote on THIS PAGE.

Agarest: Generations of War was one of the earlier titles released in Compile Heart’s history and has since spawned to additional sequels which have also been released internationally by both Ghostlight and Aksys Games. Other Compile Heart games you may be familiar with include Hyperdimension Neptunia, Trinity Universe and Mugen Souls – although this instalment’s gameplay is similar to that used in their release of Cross Edge.

Leonhardt has pledged his soul, and those of his descendants, to sealing the five Pillars that exist on the five continents of Agarest. Is it “light” or “darkness” that waits at the end of the battle fought by Leonhardt and his descendants? The answer lies in the paths that they walk. In this game, you adventure across the five continents of Agarest, through five generations of Leonhardt’s descendants. One main character appears on each continent. That character is descended from the previous generation’s character and their chosen spouse.

EDIT: According to Ghostlight, this release has been based off the XBox360 version (Which surprisingly the company never released) and therefore I assume we can expect some compatibility with the XBox Controller.
