The team behind the GameStick Kickstarter campaign have raised a glass and cheered today as their campaign closes, raising a total of $648K (or more specifically $647,658) in pledges total. The console is set to ship in April 2013, and while you are no longer able to pledge to the campaign you are now able to pre-order the console from its official website HERE.

We are overwhelmed, excited, grateful, thrilled and everything in between. The campaign has been an incredible success with support from thousands of backers worldwide but this is just the beginning. The feedback from the Kickstarter community has been invaluable in shaping the final product and we will continue to seek input from those that supported us to ensure continued innovation ahead of a global retail launch.

At the level pledged, gamers have unlocked all three stretch goals – meaning that there will be a total of four colours the console will be available in (White, Black, Red and a colour currently being voted upon) and the inclusion of a MicroSD Card slot in every GameStick.
