The Pokemon Company International have launched an official application for the (VERY) long-running Pokemon Television series which since 1997 has seen a grand total of over 750 episodes spanning 16 seasons with a 17th currently being aired in Japan. The free app, which is now available for the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android devices sets itself up to help fans follow the many adventures of Ash, Pikachu and their friends from their portable device.

The app is set to provide fans with a selection of episodes from the many seasons, with the library planned to be updated weekly alongside special features, trailers and Pokemon movie events. In addition, a debut of the animated short film Meloetta’s Moonlight Serenade is set to screen on the app from the 15th February. This special event will be the first time Meloetta’s Moonlight Serenade is shown in English, and fans who watch can expect a sneak peek at the magic of Meloetta’s Pirouette Forme.

For iOS users, the app can be downloaded HERE. Android users on the other hand can pop to the Google Play store HERE to pick it up. While I have yet to pick this up for myself, reviews from the public seem to be strong with 4.5/5 stars given on the Google Play store (out of 464 votes) and 4.5/5 stars on the Apple App Store (out of 84 Ratings).
