While there have been plenty of screenshots released for the other four characters of Yakuza 5 – Kazuma Kiryu, Haruka Sawamura, Taiga Saejima and Tatsuo Shinada – not as much attention has been afforded to Shun Akiyama. This latest batch of screenshots are dedicated more-so to substories – with Shun Akiyama being in the center of quite a few of them.
In this game Shun Akiyama seems to be taking part in a number of side quests including performing a dance battle with an older woman, investigating rumours of a ghost at Club Sega, serving as a manager for an idol and as has been prevalent in the past couple of games – lending money out to those who require it, provided they fulfil his request.
As you can see in the screenshots, the other characters also have their set of events they will be taking part in over the course of the game. Kiryu is seen doing deliveries and rescuing a child from a potential kidnapping, Saejima is doing a substory which seems to be based on the Little Match Girl, Haruka hangs out with friends while Shinada seems to work at a convenience store and help an election campaign.
