While Spring to some may equate to a month of sniffing / hayfever and a time of blooming flowers for others, in the upcoming release of The Sims 3: Seasons, the season means a whole lot more in terms of gameplay and events for your Sims as a community to take part in.

Spring has sprung in Sunset Valley and the forecast predicts it’s going to be a rainy year. Your Sims better get their umbrellas ready and throw on a nice pair of galoshes with a rain coat to prepare for the months ahead!  Sims in town will notice new environmental changes such as puddles and thunderstorms. They should use caution when going outside in these conditions, as lightning can strike at any point. But through the thick of these storms comes new life and serene beauty, as plants flourish and flowers begin to blossom.

From the onset of these new blooms, unlucky Sims may be afflicted with hay fever, which can cause sneezing and lead to grumpy moods. Your Sims can take action to prevent this suffering by getting an allergy shot, as long they aren’t afraid of needles! Even though allergy attacks can be a bit of a burden, most Sims are excited to see the coming of spring, as the world becomes green again and temperatures begin to warm up.

Spring is a time for new beginnings, and flowers aren’t the only things in bloom. Young love is at its peak during this time, as the world seems most full of life and potential. Sims attending the spring festival can seek out an attractive companion at the kissing booth, meet up with a mate on the dance floor or even try their luck with online dating. Good old-fashioned courting is another possibility for those Sims who prefer to put their feelings in writing and pen a poignant love letter.

In addition to looking for love at the spring fling or the kissing booth, there’s a lot more fun to be had at the spring festival. Sims will be able to get their faces painted with designs such as bunnies or hearts, or visit the concession stand for a taste of seasonal foods like grasshopper pie, fruit punch and adorable freezer bunny pops. There’s even an egg hunt for the kids and the young at heart!

Sims can also participate in new activities, which include skating around the roller rink, throwing a pool party or getting caught in the midst of a water balloon fight.
