The Idolm@ster: Shiny Festa - New Screenshots 1

Namco Bandai in Japan have today released a brand new set of screenshots for their upcoming Playstation Portable release of “The Idolm@ster: Shiny Festa”. The game is based on the successful Japanese franchise which has spread over an initial arcade release, several video-game titles and other media including an anime series and soundtrack releases. This game is the second in the series on the Playstation Portable and is split into three separate releases each with different primary idols (For more information, click HERE).

Todays batch of screenshots focus on the four primary types of video clips present in each of the games songs. These are “Live” where all the idols appear on a stage in classic Idolm@ster style, “Anime” which shows an anime clip with the characters in them, “Band” where the idols perform as a band and “Theater” which acts as a sort of drama. As you can tell from the screenshots, the gameplay is a bit different from previous games where it is closer to that of a rhythm game than other releases which act as an Idol Raising / Rhythm game.

Each of the songs have two of the four video clips associated with them, which can be used by filling up your Kirameki Meter and performing a Shining Burst (Similar to what has been included in other releases). Some songs which will be included in these games include Promise (約束), Smoky Thrill, Marionette’s Heart (マリオネットの心), Self Restart (自分REST@RT), Next Life, Kazahana (風花) and Kyun! Vampire Girl (きゅんっ!ヴァンパイアガール).
