Microsoft Release Developer Diary, Release Date and New Song Inclusions for Dance Central 3

Microsoft Game Studios and Harmonix have today announced several details pertaining to their upcoming release of Dance Central 3 for the XBox360. To begin with, Harmonix today released a new Developer Diary on their Youtube channel entitled “A Twisted Tale of Time Travel (…and Dance Crimes) where the writing team breaks down the games Story Mode (Involving Dance Central Intelligence AND a time travelling boombox).

The “Dance Central 3” story mode will have players travelling back through time to learn classic dance moves from past decades alongside their favourite crews and characters from the series. Today, Harmonix revealed that Flash4ward, a fan-favorite crew made up of Taye and Lil’ T, will make their return in “Dance Central 3,” repping the fly look of the 1990s in a killer house party venue. Stay tuned for reveals of both new and familiar faces in some surprising venues in the coming months.

“Dance Central 3” pushes the franchise into new territories with innovative new features and the hottest tracks from the ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s, ‘00s and today! The beat keeps rocking with an all new party mode for up to eight players, the ability to import your songs from previous “Dance Central” titles and more!

In addition to this video, it was also announced that Dance Central 3 has had its Fall 2012 release date refined to the 18th October 2012 (May vary slightly between regions). The game is set to have more than 40 seconds included on-disc, including previously announced tracks by Usher, 50 Cent, Cobra Starship and other big names in music. A further 11 tracks have been announced, each with authentic dance routines created by professional choreographers including:

·         Alice Deejay – “Better Off Alone”

·         Backstreet Boys – “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)”

·         J.J. Fad – “Supersonic”

·         Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz ft. Ying Yang Twins – “Get Low”

·         LMFAO – “Sexy And I Know It”

·         Los Del Rio – “Macarena (Bayside Boys Mix)”

·         Maroon 5 ft. Christina Aguilera – “Moves Like Jagger”

·         Vanilla Ice – “Ice Ice Baby”

·         Vicki Sue Robinson – “Turn The Beat Around”

·         Village People – “Y.M.C.A.”
