ATLUS USA have today unveiled the final version box art of their upcoming release of Persona 4 Golden on the Playstation Vita. For those who have been following the Japanese launch of the game, this artwork will come as no surprise as it is almost identical to the Japanese version, with the exception of the title being “P4G: Persona 4” Golden instead of “P4G: Persona 4 The Golden“. With the companies English launch of Persona 4 Arena next month, hopefully this will mean more promotion of this game for which we have seen no English localized screenshots of yet.
ATLUS USA also promoted some Japanese statistics for the game which I have included below:
- P4G is presently the hottest Vita game of 2012 in Japan (188,782 units so far this year)
- P4G became the first Vita game ever to exceed 100k units sold in its first week
- P4G is responsible for the biggest spike in Vita hardware sales since January
The game was launched in Japan a little more than a month ago, and is slated for an English localized release in Fall this year. Currently there is no word on there being a region lock on this release as there was with Persona 4 Arena, but ATLUS USA have admitted that was “an isolated case” so all signs hint towards this being an import friendly release.
