In an interview with Japanese gaming news company Famitsu at the recent Namco Bandai Gamer’s Day Event, they were able to have an interview Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino regarding any potential sequel to the RPG series, following good reception in Japan, and hopefully great reception in Q1 next year with the games international release. In-fact, according to the translation and summary of the review presented by Andriasang…. it may be the success of the international release that determines if the game receives a sequel with Akihiro Hino stating he would like to continue with the series if they see strong sales from the overseas market.

During the interview he quotes strong international sales for a number of their past games. For example, Dark Cloud which they developed for the Playstation 2 only sold around 120,000 units in Japan (An impressive number in the first place), however was able to extend upon this and tobble a million sales in total worldwide. Dark Chronicle and The Professor Layton series are two releases which have also been met with strong reception internationally.

The games international release is slated for Q1 2013 in a number of regions and will be not only dubbed in Japanese and English, but subtitled in a number of other languages to go with it.
