THQ Australia today announced that everyone who pre-orders their copy of Darksiders II on either the XBox360, Playstation 3 or Windows PC will receive a complementary upgrade to the Limited Edition version of the game at no additional cost. This Limited Edition will include the standard retail game along with a unique code allowing the purchaser to download the games first single player downloadable content pack, Argul’s Tomb for free once it becomes available on the respective DLC content provider.
Jim Huntley, Vice President of Global Brand marketing had this to say on the announcement:
We are delighted to be able to reward gamers who pre-order with a free upgrade to the Limited Edition version of the game.
Darksiders II is scheduled to be released on the console and PC gaming systems from the 26th June 2012.
Darksiders II follows the exploits of DEATH, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, in a weaving tale that runs parallel to the events in the original Darksiders game. This epic journey propels DEATH through various light and dark realms as he tries to redeem his brother WAR, the horseman who was blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders.
