Final Fantasy XIII-2 Released in North America – “Lighting and Master Sergeant Amodar” DLC Set For Release on the 7th February

-

While those of us in Australia will have to wait another couple of hours until we can pick up our copies of the game – those of you in the Americas should already be in your homes, away from the internet and playing the game. Due for release on both Playstation 3 and XBox360, this is the sequel to 2010’s release of Final Fantasy XIII which to me looked really nice, but was lacking a lot in the gameplay department – most notably its linearity.

Square Enix also announced that they would be making available a wide range of DLC content available for the game post-launch – with a particular one of note being the Coliseum battle against Lightning and Master Sergeant Amodar which will be distributed on February the 7th. The battle is split up into two parts, the first of which has you against Lightning alone, and then with Amodar joining the battle half-way through the fight. The purpose of Coliseum Battles is to pit the player against many adversaries from previous Final Fantasy titles that, when defeated, can be recruited into the players part. While there are no specifics of price within the press release, the Japanese pricing was 300 yen / 240MSP.
