While we outside of Japan are waiting for the (hopefully) eventual announcement of Corpse Party: Book of Shadows by the folks at XSEED Games, Japan are not only awaiting the release of Corpse Party 2U (Corpse Party: Blood Drive) but also awaiting an iOS port being done by 5pb… bringing the horrific storyline of Corpse Party to a new audience. As there are no buttons on the iPhone or other iOS products, the game will make use of a touch screen control system (Not the most user friendly control system by still).
The game is due for release on the iTunes App store sometime this Winter. There is no word on if XSeed Games will be doing a similar release or going to leave it on just the PSP. I can highly recommend this game however, with it being one of the games nominated for my Game of the Year 2011 (For contribution to the horror genre) and receiving an A grade in my review of the PSP version.
