In what you may consider a spinoff game, Yakuza Dead Souls lets the characters take a break from the normal yakuza warfare and instead pits them against hordes and hordes of zombified inhabitants and somewhere in this city, Haruka is being held by a mysterious entity. Your goal? Reclaim the town from the zombie swarm and rescue Haruka from whoever is holding her. As it was with Yakuza 4, you are not just going to be running around as Kazuma, but instead four characters again – each of who will bring their own plots and battle styles to the table. Alongside Kazuma, Shun Akiyama (An infamous money lender who is willing to loan you tonnes of money interest free… provided you meet his criteria) returns from Yakuza 4, however two new playable characters also join the ranks. Goro Majima who has appeared in all instalments of the game makes a return in his first playable role, as well as Ryuji Gohda from Yakuza 2 who also makes his playable debut.
Yakuza 4 is due for international release by SEGA in March 2012. This is a Playstation 3 exclusive title.
