EB Expo 2011 – Ubisoft Conferences for Sunday Session – Live Feed Archive 1

As I mentioned in yesterdays live blog, a major enemy of the gamer – hunger kept me from attending the Ubisoft conference, and so I decided to attend it in todays session, having been rather lethagic in the Twilight session and found it better to be refreshed and bright as a button! Ubisoft gave demos of a couple of their games – from memory more then other other companies with Just Dance 3, Assassins Creed Revelations, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon and The Black Eyed Peas experience, with each of them having demos shown for them (I was a bit suspicious about the BEP Experience one until they started getting Player out of range errors haha!). I also had to wait through the Playstation conference again, but made a few second time round observations.

Ubi Soft

Sun 11:42

Player has left game field

Woopsie

Sun 11:40

Last surprise

The Black Eyed Peas Experience with live dance demo. 28 tracks.

Sun 11:39

Gunsmith uses voice or movements. Voice is occasionally temperamental but worked really well 98% of the time

Sun 11:37

Gunsmith customization feature for the kinect live demo.

Sun 11:36

Trailer violence level [||||||||||]|| 120%

Sun 11:35

Tom Clancey’s Ghost Recon.. Don’t know much about the game so I might not live blog it.

Sun 11:35

17 maps, 12 modes and 16 characters… Sounds promising.

Sun 11:34

Multiplayer – in those days genetics only allowed one of tenish appearances for the populace…

Sun 11:33

Animus edition of the game is almost sold out at EB Games

Sun 11:32

Assassins Creed – showing that thousands to hundreds of years ago, guar had no peripheral vision…

Sun 11:32

Woo! Altair returns in flashbacks after collecting one of five keys. Good to see they didn’t ditch him after one game, after giving Ezio three+

Sun 11:29

Sorry… Apparently he can now climb buildings.

Sun 11:28

Many cheers and oooh’s from the crowd during the boss (?) battle

Sun 11:27

Sorry.. Explosive synthesis

Sun 11:27

Weapon Synthesis looks simple but effective.

Sun 11:26

This demo seems to be more about using explosives and other hand tools to defeat the enemies… Might have to change from playing the game using one weapon – the hidden blade.

Sun 11:24

Ezio in this demo… No climbing ability apparently but can certainly snap a naive guards neck.

Sun 11:23

Final Chapter of Ezio… Time for another Assassin to take his place in future titles or will this be the end of the line?

Sun 11:21

Demo Playthrough… Excuse me while I drool.

Sun 11:21

Preorder the game at the event and you can win a lifesize Ezio cardboard cutout.

Sun 11:20

Assassins Creed Revelations cutscenes look more and more realistic…

Sun 11:18

Starting off with an Assassins Creed trailer. First time I have watched it… Sounds very exciting.

Sun 11:17

Lots of stuff to show us o_o… More then just assassins creed revelations.

Sun 11:16

You can tell the performers are well practiced in this game haha

Sun 11:14

I only own Just Dance 1, so the improvements made between now and then are very apparent.

Sun 11:13

Yep, the people showing off Just Dance on the floor have arrived.

Sun 11:10

Couches being removed… Just Dance 3?

Sun 11:09

Ubisoft will be up any second now

Sony Playstation Round 2

Sun 11:06

My thoughts on the markerless ar trailer….

OMFG! I want that Toro cushion!

Sun 11:04

Good to see the Augmented Reality previews again.. Really is quite impressive.

Sun 11:02

Watching the Reality Fighter trailer again… I wonder if the face scanning will have the same shadow issues as was quite frequent with that TV show PS Move game.

Sun 11:00

Am I the only one who thinks Sony should bring back the Eyetoy franchise? Sure they have similar games… But nothing has matched the fun level that Eyetoy did to me….

Sun 10:56

Thinking about LittleBigPlanet on the Vita, the game does turn from a physics platformer to a physics platformer with physics defying options. Sure to disappoint some… But saves so much trouble developing levels ruined by an occasionally tempermental undo function.

Sun 10:51

Apparently the PS Portable has sold 70 million copies internationally…. Most certainly beats the ps3 and xbox360 in the console wars…

Sun 10:46

On the floor, the crowd seems to be as large, if not larger then yesterday, but this conference is a fair bit emptier.

Sun 10:45

After running around and checking out a couple of new games, I am now seated for the Ubisoft presentation. First I have to resit the Playstation one so if there is any new info announced, I will be sure to share it.
