Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns - Now Available on the Nintendo DS 1Fans of the Harvest Moon series will be happy to know that the next installment in the series, Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns is due to be released today by Natsume, a company responsible for publishing the Harvest Moon and Rune Factory games, among others. It has been released at an MSRP of $29.99 and has been classified as E for Everyone by the ESRB. President and CEO of Natsume, Hiro Maekawa had this to say on the release:

“We are thrilled that Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns is now available for the Nintendo DS. We’re sure die-hard fans of the series and newcomers alike will love the latest title in the Harvest Moon series!”

For those who have not heard of the series before, it is essentially as the cover inplies, a simulation game where you reside in a town, often on a dilapidated farm where you build it up from scratch into a successful enterprise, take part in town events and reach the end point where you have a relationship, have children and so forth. The storyline for this game is as follows:

Konohana and Bluebell villages were once the friendliest of neighbors. Then a huge dispute erupted between them over, of all things, food! Both towns were certain that their cooking was the best in the world. This feud has transformed these happy neighbors into bitter rivals. As a new farmer to the area, players choose which village to live in. Will it be Eastern-styled Konohana, with its abundant fields of crops, or the animal-loving, European-styled Bluebell? Players will pick a home, build a thriving farm, and compete in a huge variety of festivals. If they develop their skills enough, and they might even find a way to bring these two towns together once again!

You can now purchase this title from the brand new Natsume Online Store found at the following link: HERE and while stocks last, you will be able to receive an adorable alpaca plush with it. If for whatever reason you cannot purchase from the Natsume Online Store, you should be able to find the game in most game retailers within North America or from online stores such as Play-Asia.
