North American game publisher Aksys Games have just announced the release date for their release of Fate/Extra on the Playstation Portable. 1/11/11 or the 1st of November 2011 has been set as the release date. Taking place in the Fate/stay Night universe, it brings back several popular characters from the anime and visual novel series as well as introducing several new Masters and Servants, starting with a custom character which you can give a gender and name to. The battle system is essentially Paper/Scissors/Rock, which means that there is an element of luck in completing this game.
As well, Aksys has announced their intent on releasing a Limited Edition version of the game. Coming in at $39.99 in comparison to $29.99 for the standard physical edition and $$24.99 for the Playstation Network edition, you get several bonus items such as a 15-Page Fate Visual Works art book and an 11 song Limited Soundtrack (Hey, this is only costing $5 extra – So don’t go expecting a Saber servant figure or anything that came with the $130ish dollar Collectors Edition in Japan)
