Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny Due for Release in September + PS3 Version Screenshots 1Whilst I perhaps haven’t discussed the upcoming Rune Factory game (Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny) as much as I would have liked to over the past few months, you will be happy to know that you can purchase this gameas of the 27th of September for both the Sony Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii consoles. As you can see from the cover on the left, the Playstation 3 version will have move support, I suppose giving it some of the similar features that have been implemented into the Wii version. I am not sure what differences there will be, but judging from the preview images, the Playstation 3 version will be graphically superior supporting a better screen resolution and what seems to be better 3D Character portraits.

Here is a blurb of the game as taken from their press release:

Aden and Sonja, two lifelong friends, live a tranquil life on Fenith Island until they’re struck by a mysterious curse: they awaken to find both of their souls are now trapped in the same body! On top of this unusual calamity, the Fenith Island they knew is gone, replaced by a strange island populated with unfamiliar faces. Only by exploring this new world will they be able to solve the mystery of this curse and save their beloved island. During the course of their journey, Aden and Sonja will be aided by a colorful cast of characters, as well as take command of a towering golem, Ymir. Using their newfound giant friend, they’ll cross vast seas, discover hidden islands and dungeons packed with riches, and battle fearsome monsters of the deep!

As this game has caught my interest, I will be doing a review of this game hopefully very soon after its release. After the jump, I have included some screenshots of the Playstation3 version, with the Nintendo Wii version screenshots being included in a post that will be posted about five minutes after this one!
