The Addicts FAQ Part 2

Welcome to the second instalation of The Addicts FAQ. For those that do not know, we are a guild of Addicts for the up and coming game Dragonica, being released in the CBT on the 7th May this year. So I can get the summary over and done with, visit this link for the official site and more information on the game. This hopes to answer more questions (That we feel people want to know answers to) and deliver a little bit more about this guild. For all the information, please read on!

Will you be taking part in the Closed Beta Test?

Yes yes, we are definately planning on attending the Closed Beta test and will be partaking in any guild events that occur over the ten day period.

Am I able to join your guild yet? I have tried as hard as possible to stay around on the forum…

Sorry, just because you post on the Official Dragonica Forums doesn’t mean that you will be instantly accepted into the Addicts. We look at a variety of criteria before accepting someone into our guild and we do not accept bribes or pleas. We look for, not the best, but the most Addicted. So keep up the good work and who knows, we might see you as a member soon!

Can I plz join ya Guild!!!!!

See the above question but take it in a harsher tone. You will not believe how many requests we get similar to this and honestly, we are getting sick of it. We DO NOT accept anyone other than the totally addicted!

Who are the current addicted members that you have on your guild roster?

Well, that I would be happy to answer. Besides the Master Addict and the three Senior Addicts, the following members are:

Are you a friendly guild who can help me if I have a problem?

As all our members are addicted to the game, our members will be willing to help you on the condition that they are not busy with something else (or helping someone else) and that you talk nicely with them. If you do rant and shout at the addicted members, you may look at yourself not recieving help from any of them, since word does spread. As well, any begs for money or items will not be entertained and you may look at the same situation as above.

Can I chat with members of TheAddicts or are you always busy trying a new venture?

That is what is good about TheAddicts, while we will be taking part in most if not all guild events, we will not shun anyone who is not a member and will not act all high and mighty in order to be percieved as the best of the server. We prefer to maintain friendships than to make people upset.

How do I get spotted by your recruitment team?

Be active, be friendly and be addicted. Enough said on that!

Can we be allies with your guild?

We consider ourselves on good terms with any guild that does not support the movements and actions of Elga. Any team who supports Lord Vyvern’s mission therefore is deemed a friend to TheAddicts. At the moment however, everything is free for all during any guild event or Emporia PVP War that takes place.

How can I find more on TheAddicts?

Either keep watching this blog for the occasional update or view our thread on the official forums found here.

The following part contains the storyline of this guild as correlated by The Addicts members.

Due to my hectic timetable, I assigned my personal assistant at our headquarters to scribe an interesting component on the Addicts. I haven’t had time to proof read it yet however I will share it with you now, who knows, might be of interest to you….

How can we identify the Master Addict?

This is our fearless and relatively old leader Nuglar. You may think he is a weakling, however it gives you a false sense of security as when he draws out his blade, he is a dangerous force to be up against. Of course, he only achieved this state of mind and immortality by a thousand years of harsh training and being trained by Dragon Lord Vyvern personally, eventually becoming stronger than Vyvern himself. Of course, he had many look-alikes around the towns therefore a little work had to be done to remodel his face and body. Through use of super secret spells and potions from the Dragonica hideout, we managed to change his form from an thousand year old man to a youthful older teen looking male.

Nuglar however can switch between the two forms… so when you are talking to that old man, you may just be talking to him.

How can we identify the Senior Addicts?

TheAddicts currently has three senior addicts, Sam (Otaku Addict), Altessa (Chii Addict) and Eilrahc21 (Coffee Addict). Currently on the Addict Computer, all that remains in their file is a disoriented image. We cannot make out what member it is, but we shall have more information on them soon.

Who it is of, I am personally not sure.

What is the history of the Addicts?

The history of the addicts is hard to gather, as each individual member has many different stories. However, Nuglar is the only one who has compiled his history, as leader of the Addicts. They were scribed onto three pieces of parchment and locked away, until recently. Here is what they said:

Entry 1:

After Elgas imprisonment nearly 1000 years ago, a young man named Nuglar was recruited into the services of the Dragon Lord Vyvern. His job, to hunt down the last of Elgas followers. As years went by, resistance to the throne continued to increased. Two more warriors were recruited; Sam and Altessa. The three formed what was named, TheAddicts – an elite unit of warriors, determined to single-handedly remove all resistance. They continued serving under Lord Vyvern’s command for centuries to come, becoming adept in the art of arms, magic and warfare. It was even said they were gifted with the knowledge of unlimited life; a skill dragons have all but kept secret.

I write this brief history as the future looks grim. There are rumours of an evil enchantress coming into power, and i fear she will attempt to release Elga from his imprisonment, causing havoc in Dragonica once again. Long live Lord Vyvern and TheAddicts…

Entry 2:

My worst fears have come true, Elga has been released with the assistance of Paris and he is once again causing chaos in Dragonica. Lord Vyvern is recruiting warriors into his ranks in an effort to create peace in our land one final time. Sam, Altessa and myself are expanding our own ranks as well; selecting the finest of warriors in the land of Dragonica to serve with us, to serve as Lord Vyverns left claw in the battle against Elga.

With the recent expansions to our guild we have been forced to move out of our previous head quarters and into something bigger. Ive chosen to conceal our lair underneath Etakons tavern as it allows us to keep up to date on all the latest rumours and gossip regarding Elga and his followers.

Entry 3:

Unfortunately recent situations have seen some of our members dead. They have been placed in our hall of fame, and shall be remembered through eternity. May their tales of heroism continue to be flow through the generations…

Elga has also managed to convert a selected few in our ranks. They are now among the ones we hunt, as we shal have no mercy when it comes to bringing their life to an end. Our members will shape the history of Dragonica, and i would prefer them to swing events in our favour. Therefore we shal be taking recruitment more serious in the near future. Our skills must not be turned against us…
