A 13 Minute Look at Steel Chronicle, Konami’s Arcade Co-op Shooter
Posted on December 1, 2011 | No CommentsAt least over here in Australia, any arcade releases from Japan are not something all that common, however I could not help put post up this recent preview video for Steel Chronicle, a co-op multiplayer shooter headed for arcades. While the characters may all be anime-style catering to a number of tastes, this remains a mecha fighter which looks intense and judging purely from the responses of the people narrating/playing – a hell of a lot of fun! The official website has recently been released... -

The gameplay seems very familiar to the Cladun series, taking the gamer through dungeons with a character customized by them, but using the enhanced capabilities of the Playstation 3 as well as evidently more ambition with HD Character Sprites and even proper character portraits!... -
Do You Like Disgaea-Style Artwork? I LIKE DISGAEA STYLE ARTWORK!
Posted on November 25, 2011 | No CommentsNippon Ichi Software’s games have always made use of both internally and external art talent when it comes to their games and games they have collaborated in. For example, in Disgaea 4 they had two new classes designed by Kouhaku Kuroboshi (Necromancer) and Noizi Ito (Orderly) and in Trinity Universe’s Illustrator Collaboration Project, Yoshihiko Imaizumi provided the designs for catgirl Miyu. To celebrate the pending release of Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention (or Disgaea 3 Return) on the Playstation Vita due for launch in Japan on the... -

The Next Cave Game is…. Not What You Would Be Expecting
Posted on November 8, 2011 | No CommentsCave is a Japanese company that is highly regarded for their bullet hell games such as DonDonPachi and DeathSmiles just from the top of my head (Alongside the odd deviation such as Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine). However, it seems that every good developer needs to deviate a bit from the norm, thus the next game they have announced is a F2P browser-based social mahjong game under the title Mahjong Rokumeikan. Not much information is available on this game as of yet other then it will... -
