Funimation Entertainment Announce Acquisition of Level E Anime Series
Posted on February 21, 2012 | No CommentsFunimation Entertainment, a North American distributor of anime titles to the North American market have recently announced at Katsucon held in Washington DC that they had acquired the licences to broadcast, do home entertainment releases and steam the complete series of Level E. The series was creasted by Toshihiro Togashi while the anime itself wa directed by Toshiyuki Kato, with Studio Peirrot and David Production co-producing. Funimation Entertainment Announces Black Butler Season 2 Dub Cast

Funimation Acquires License to Pretear Anime Series

Funimation Entertainment Announce Additional Rights to Haganai at Ohayocon
Posted on January 29, 2012 | 1 CommentWhile Funimation Entertainment acquired streaming rights for the series several months ago, at the recent Ohayocon which has been held this weekend they announced they had acquired additional rights to Haganai (Aka. Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai). Broadcasting, Home Entertainment, Merchandise, Mobile and Streaming distribution is now what is covered under their acquisition agreement. While there is no word on an estimated date, Funimation Entertainment now plan to release the Haganai series on both DVD and Blu-ray at a later date. Production of All Blu-Ray Dragon Ball Z Blu-ray Releases Suspended
Posted on January 27, 2012 | No CommentsWhile fans of the series will be disappointed, Funimation Entertainment today officially confirmed that all production of future planned Blu-ray releases of Dragon Ball Z, including Level 2.1 which was supposed to be released on the 27th March 2012 have been suspended until an unconfirmed time if ever. Blu-ray editions of the series went into production due to fan demand, however the technical challenges of restoring from the original frame by frame film proved that they were unable to continue the releases through this process. Commercial for March 2012′s Monthly Shōnen Ace Magazine Indicate Third Season of Heaven’s Lost Property
