  • Kobato – Episode 2

Started typing it and then decided I was too tired.... will try and get this done after my exam tomorrow. If you are really after a quick review however, feel free to read it in temporary point form:

  • Seitokai no Ichizon – Episode 2

  • Umineko no Naku Koro ni – Episode 5

The episode begins wher the last one ends. Them being in the sitting area with the corpses of Kumasawa, Nanjo and Genji in different locations in the room with Maria in the corner singing a creepy song. Shocked at all of this, Battler grabs Maria and pushes her around screaming at who the person was that murdered the three of them. Maria is still stating that it was Beatrice that did everything. After more questions, they turn around to find that Natsuhi is missing and that she has barricaded the four of them in the room with a candlestick.

  • Seitokai no Ichizon – Episode 1

I was very wary of this series before watching it since it did seem like the whole Student Council life thing that we have seen in many other anime before, however despite the fact that, as they even claim in the opening segment "An anime that takes place in a single room goes only in the Sunday evening slot!", it isn't actually a boring watch and I find it quite comical. For one thing, they seem to parody many different series such as The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Which is classified as banned material on their show), Lucky Star (Via a mock opening) and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (Only to be claimed that Umineko is now the trend) to name a few. Is always funny having other series mentioned comedically in another show. Secondly, and I am so glad this has happened...... they have a main male character.... WHO IS NOT PERVERTED AND A LOSER!

  • Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Purezza – Episode 1

False Opening Nocturne Girl’s School Lacrosse Team …and here I thought they pulled a Haruhi opening on us with the false anime opening. Now for the real opening….

  • Kobato – Episode 1

I have always enjoyed adaptations of CLAMP manga, such as Chobits, Angelic Layer, CCS etc and this one made it on to my list automatically for that reason. However... since it has been a while since I watched an anime from their works, I must admit I was a bit hesitant about this series, especially considering that Kobato hadn't been brought to my attention until it was announced in anime format a few months ago. Overall, it was a pretty impressive episode and kind of maintained the humourous situations all the way throughout the episode.

  • Let me be frank... the only reason why I decided to watch this was the fact that I couldn't find any other blogs really focusing on it so I thought I might as well give it a shot and try and either promote or warn viewers of it. To be honest, I can't really do either since it is obviously a show that really depends on the person. More on that later anyway.

Anyamaru Tantei Kiruminzuu – Episode 1

  • Opening Theme
Arrival of Tears by Ayane

What can I say.... this is what first got me thinking that this could be a follow up series of Persona 3. Seriously, the fact that they have the image of all the female characters eyes the same style as they did in Persona 3, a few shots of the moon, the city under the impression of the dark hour and the shadow looking creatures, automatically got my interest in it. The song is a fast paced song and it was enjoyable to listen to, however I must admit that the song was drowned out by my interest in the animated sections, not a bad thing of course. No complaints on my side.

  • Umineko no Naku Koro ni – Episode 4 (I-IV)

As they all talk in the study, they all decide to research the mysterious symbol drawn on another sheet of paper. It was a symbol that is responsible for separating the groups, which meant that they sent the four of them out to their death. Suddently, the broken phone system started working again. When they answer, all they hear is a creepy singing voice. They realize the four of them are definately in danger and they all run out of the room after them.

  • Umineko No Naku Koro ni – Episode 3 (I-III)

The episode begins where the previous one ends. Everyone is in the Rose Garden Storage Shed where George begins to ask his father about if the corpse of Shannon has a ring on it and what hand. Eva snaps when she realises that George proposed to her however Hideyoshi stops her saying that regardless, whoever gave her that ring was lucky to have her (Or something like that). In the end, they lock up the shed to preserve the scene and then head back to the mansion.

  • Umineko no Naku Koro ni – Episode 2 (I-II)

This episode begins with the whole family sitting down at the table talking with each other about various nonsense until Maria inquires about dinner ending. Once it has ended, Maria pulls out a letter from presumably Beatrice due to the letter being sealed with the head of family rings crest. Maria opens the letter up and reads it very creepily as Beatrice’s Messenger. I was going to post the letter from the game however I found it too long to post at the current time, will edit it in later on.

  • Umineko no Naku Koro ni – Episode 1 (I-I)

All I can say to this opening theme is wow! I thought Shikata Akiko's singing of the games opening theme Umineko no Naku Koro ni was good but after watching this, I think it has given it a good run for its money. The animation involved was a less violent version of what they did in the first Higurashi Season, showing each character, althrough much briefer as it had 19 people to go through instead of 6 or so they did in Higurashi. One thing I did like was the Happy Halloween Maria scene, basically for that cruel laugh that they gave Maria, similar to Hanyuu's scary face in Higurashi Kai.
