Kokoro Connect | Complete TV Series – Anime Review

School-life series surrounding a particular student club are not uncommon, and even those surrounding supernatural events aren't unheard of - meaning that if an anime wants to do something along those lines they need to do something impressive. Kokoro Connect turned out to be an interesting series that delved into the lives of five High School students who find themselves being tested through a series of trials by a mysterious entity known as "Heartseed".

Petite Princess Yucie – Anime Review

For those who have been reading The Otaku's Study since its early years, you may recall that I did a couple of very forgettable reviews of Princess Maker 4 and Princess Maker 5 - two games I genuinely enjoyed as a solid life simulator. Petite Princess Yucie is loosely based on the video game series, featuring the return of male butler Cube and many other elements that the games have become known for.

Magical Meow Meow Taruto Complete Collection – Anime Review

Magical Meow Meow Taruto is a series that feels like it is being targeted towards fans of catgirls that don't mind a few innocent storylines being strewn in with an actual plot.

.hack//Liminality – Anime Review

hile there are a few references in other aspects of the .hack media franchise, .hack//Liminality is one you could comfortably skip and not risk missing out on much. However if you do get your hands on a copy of the series, it serves as an interesting tie-in across platforms and does add an additional dynamic to the world during the events the games - with are usually only covered in brief in-game news prompts at most.

.hack//Sign Complete Collection – Anime Review

You need to play the four-part video game series to full experience, especially considering as .hack//Sign provides more questions than answers. However by itself, the series still provides an interesting experience with a strong storyline and concept.

.hack//Legend of the Twilight Complete Collection

You will be forgiven for thinking that this anime series is based on the three-volume manga series of the same name by Tatsuya Hamazaki and Rei Izumi given the similar context to the plot and almost identical character cast. However both are considerably different, with the anime adaptation giving an initial impression of being a child's version of the .hack series despite the darker plot that comes along later.

Inu x Boku Secret Service – Anime Mini Review

With the manga series still ongoing in Japan, there is a lot of potential for there to be a successful sequel for this anime adaptation of Inu x Boku Secret Service. However in terms of what was presented in this series, while the conclusion was well thought out of there were a few clever and entertaining moments throughout, it lacked direction, and the featured blooming romance between the main characters was slow to progress and tedious to watch at times.
