Posted on June 17, 2013 | No CommentsIt was confirmed a few months back that Ghostlight and Laughing Jackal have been hard at work in bringing a PC port of Agarest: Generations of War to the PC. While this installment is seemingly based on the enhanced Xbox360 version that was published by Aksys Games in 2010 – Ghostlight were the original company to publish the game all the way back in 2009 on the Playstation 3 within PAL regions. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta Set to Start on the 25th February
Posted on February 17, 2013 | No CommentsDespite being launched for the PC in 2010 – Final Fantasy XIV was released to a rather average reception and overall did not live up to the potential that it could have had… especially given how long and successful the other Square Enix online game “Final Fantasy XI” was proving – with even an expansion pack release this year. Rather than leave the game to its otherwise lackluster fate the company decided to work towards Final Fantasy XIV “Version 2.0″, which will hopefully bring the game up to a standard it deserves – with many new game improvements and the... -

Posted on August 30, 2011 | 1 CommentEven with Final Fantasy XIV available on the market, it seems that Square Enix is still not giving up on their older, yet still seemingly popular title – Final Fantasy XI. Final Fantasy XI has made it to a number of consoles – from the obligatory PC release to having a significant sized population on both PS2 and XBox360 versions of the game – which have also spawned a number of expansion packs that has kept the game going strong since 2003. They have just announced their intention for a new update – and would like to invite gamers who... -
The Secret World – Beta Sign-ups Delayed
Posted on August 28, 2011 | No CommentsI don’t believe I have mentioned this game before on The Otaku’s Study, however The Secret World has been a game I have been personally following since I first caught word of it on the GE Forums many years ago. The game – instead of having a levelling based system which most games seem to use – they have opted to remove all that stuff and have the games “levelling” system come down to skill - although if it is viable for a new player to defeat a veteran player is yet to be noticed. Characters are spread out into three factional... -
