.hack//Legend of the Twilight Complete Collection

You will be forgiven for thinking that this anime series is based on the three-volume manga series of the same name by Tatsuya Hamazaki and Rei Izumi given the similar context to the plot and almost identical character cast. However both are considerably different, with the anime adaptation giving an initial impression of being a child's version of the .hack series despite the darker plot that comes along later.
