CCP Games have over the past few months been collaborating with Dark Horse Comics and the EVE Online community to produce a new graphic novel series titled EVE: True Stories This series of books look at the lore and history of the EVE Universe, however instead of depicting the events that take place off screen, they will highlight events that have taken place by the players throughout the online games 10 year history.
Issue #1 of the EVE: True Stories graphic novel dramatizes the opening throes of one of the major events that took place in the EVE Universe over the past decade – the fall of the player alliance known as the Band of Brother. Comprised of action and intrigue, “Thieves Among Us” was inspired by actual player-driven events with writing by Daniel Way (Wolverine: Origins, Deadpool), artwork by Tomm Coker (Daredevil Noir, Near Death) and cover art by David Palumbo (ALIENS, Heavy Metal).
While the same may not hold true for future stories, Issue #1 is available as a free download through the Dark Horse Digital service. Future installments will be released digitally on the 5th March, 19th March and 2nd April 2014, with a physical compendium of all four tales being released on the 4th June 2014.
