Following the teaser trailer which was released a short while ago, Sony Pictures have shared their first trailer for the upcoming action-adventure comedy movie dubbed Pixels. Starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad, Ashley Benson and Brian Cox; this film is based around video games, or more specifically, retro video games.
Pixels is currently being directed by Chris Columbus (Of Harry Potter acclaim), with the original screenplay being written by Tim Herlihy and Timothy Dowling. The film itself is a feature film length adaptation of the 2010 short film ‘Pixels’ by Patrick Jean.
Official Synopsis
When aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper has to call on his childhood best friend, ‘80s video game champion Sam Brenner, now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders to defeat the aliens and save the planet.
