Gold Coast Film Festival 2014 Trailer

Whether you are a fan of anime, a major film-buff or anyone who lives in or near the Gold Coast and just happen to like films, you should be excited about the annual Gold Coast Film Festival.  Just this year I had the good fortune of attending ten films  – including the world premiere of documentary The Polygon, Australian premiere of The Babadook and English-language premiere of Bayonetta: Bloody Fate. Other years have also seen some big screenings, including Makoto Shinkai’s world premiere of The Garden of Words.

Over the past couple of years, the event has been held at the Pacific Fair Birch Carroll and Coyle cinema. Unfortunately the cinema has since been closed to facilitate a major upgrade to the shopping centre.  While it is uncertain if they will be returning to the venue once it has reopened, the festival team have announced that Gold Coast Film Festival 2015 will be hosted at The Arts Centre Gold Coast. This is the same location that they have held their special screenings of Our Man in Tehran and Predestination.
