Since 2006, the Nendoroid series of figures have faithfully recreated hundreds of anime, manga and video game characters into a chibified form. From more popular series such as The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya to more niche titles such as Croisee in a Foreign Labyrinth – it would almost be impossible for any anime fan not to recognize at least a few of the characters with Nendoroid figures released for them.

It was hard not to notice the buzz on Twitter this afternoon about the latest figure manufacturer / publisher Good Smile Company have put up for pre-order. The company have confirmed that Nendoroid #400 will be based on Sakura Kinomoto from the popular Cardcaptor Sakura media franchise which spans many manga volumes and a 70-episode TV anime series among other releases.

Nendoroid Sakura Kinomoto is now available for pre-order via the official Good Smile Company website at ¥4,800, with figures set to be shipped out during September 2014. Pre-ordering the figure between now and May 28th, 2014 will net you a bonus Sealing Wand (Key Form) Charm that will otherwise be unavailable with the final release. Given the amount of attention this has gained, it wouldn’t surprise me if the pre-order period was cut short due to demand.

Nendoroid No.400 – Sakura-chan!

From the anime masterpiece ‘Cardcaptor Sakura’ comes a Nendoroid of the main character, Sakura Kinomoto! She comes with three expressions including a gentle smile, a more serious expression to pose her sealing cards as well as the adorable face she made whenever she saw something she liked! She also comes with her Sealing Wand and a Clow Card to bring out the story of the series!

Alternate lower body parts are also included together with a special version of her wand allowing you to display her using the ‘Fly’ spell, and Keroberos (Kero-chan) is also included to display by her side! Sakura has jumped back from the past as a Nendoroid, ready to be loved by all her fans once again! ♪
