  • News released over the weekend from the special screening of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn have revealed that the sixth episode in the franchise will be released in Spring 2013, surprisingly almost a year from now. Fans of the series will be happy to know that the story will not end with Episode 6, but continue on into a special seventh and final episode – to be produced and released after Episode six (So…. 2014 release date???). This has been noted as being due to the vast amount of storyline they wish to include in the Gundam Unicorn series, and six...

  • It has been a long time coming, but here is the second and final part of my analysis for the upcoming season of anime. As with Part 1, I shall be using the same “Sakutarou” Review System and shall be debating the possibility of the series being simulcast alongside my thoughts on the series. As UN-GO and Fate/Zero have already been announced for simulcast and therefore I have already put down me thoughts for them, they will be excluded from this article. Chihayafuru 4th October 2011 Chihaya is a lighthearted tomboy, who’s not especially good at anything in particular. Her dream...

  • With another season of anime over, we are now into the Autumn Season of Anime in Japan. There is a nice mix of strong series for those more inclined for a good storyline as well as the lighter story-lines for the younger anime viewing audience. In terms of discussions, I will both be mentioning my thoughts on the series as well as the viability of it being simulcast in English legally by an anime company either in North America and/or Australia. As with previous months, I am expecting quite a few of them to be snatched up pretty quickly, with some such...

  • Ro-Kyu-Bu! – Japanese Elementary School Sports Uniforms?

Yes, nothing spells fanservice series like the protagonist going to meet his new students for Basketball practice and seeing them all in maids outfits…… then again, how successful a series like this would survive without fanservice like this would be a wonder….. On a serious note, it is now July, so therefore new anime titles are being released in Japan daily. Whilst Usagi Drop I believe is the only title that has been released for Australian Distribution, there could potentially be other announcements in the weeks to come through Madman Entertainment/Siren Visual or through other similar services. For information on...

  • Winter 2011 Anime Analysis

It has been a fair while since I have had the chance to review the anime straight from Japan, however with LEGAL simulcasting becoming more and more widespread today, and the fact that anime series seem to be snatched up faster then before, having us wait only months instead of years for a title released in Japan to be available in English, I think it is appropriate that I give reviewing this years Winter anime titles in Japan (Or Summer if you are in the Southern Hemisphere). As I wish to maintain a website that focuses on the legal purchase...
