Best and Worst of 2006
Posted on January 8, 2007 | No CommentsThis is a little something I thought up at the spur of the moment. I have sadly come across some anime that has been… less that likable over the years… however some good anime has really shined on me so... -
Manabi Straight! – Episode 1
Posted on January 7, 2007 | No CommentsIt is the day of the swimming carnival for Seio Private and Mika is running to school when she ends up running into a new girl called Manami also known as Manabi who pulls her onto her hoverscooter and plunges off towards the school. After awhile of Mika frantically holding on for her life, the pair finally reach the school... only to crash right into the pool during the principals speech. The teachers find out who Manabi is and learns that she is put in 2-A after a small talk to Mutsuki (What is with all these "M" names -.-') Manabi participates in a race however she doesnt dive properly and gets stuck in the swimming dividers. -

Rozen Maiden Ouverture Review
Posted on December 24, 2006 | No Commentswas personally worried that this OVA wouldnt match up with the quality of the series however this proved me wrong. This episode however, seemed to be not only about Suigintou but Souseseki as well… Anyway, it was an excellent prologue to the tales and we get to see how the Shinku x Suigintou war started! -
Negima!? – Summer Special
Posted on December 11, 2006 | 1 CommentI quite enjoyed this OVA, I found that it had more storyline towards it then the Spring one. It revolves around the everlasting Negi-Nodoka relationship with Yue casting a spell on her causing Nodoka and Negi to be joined together by the red string of fate. Of course, jealousy kicks in and all in all, it is a hillarious bundle. The artwork recieved a nice tone up and the music was great althrough the OP & ED wernt as good in this one. Here is the overall ranking: -
ALI PROJECT – Baragoku Otome
Posted on December 7, 2006 | No CommentsI just got my hands on the CD... pretty sweet :). I find myself enjoying listening to the instrumental versions more nowdays. Anyway, it was a worthwhile buy... I only have to wait for late this month for the OVA episodes ^_^. -
Yogurting – Review
Posted on November 20, 2006 | 6 CommentsYogurting is a game that started out in Korea www.yogurting.com however it was later picked up by the Japanese game company Gung-ho www.yogurting.co.jp and is now a popular game for Koreans, Japanese and English. This game is about two different schools that deal with fighting and combat each featuring its own set of missions and variety of uniforms (I will post my ones later). The whole point of the online game is to reach grade 5 at this stage however grade 6 is hopefully coming soon. There are two trailers that can both be found on the www.yogurting.com website however a smaller version of the opening can be found on the japanese site. Here are some images of the trailer and some character designs! -

Posted on November 11, 2006 | No CommentsYay! My 1000% Sparkling CD just came in today! The Instrumental versions and that parapara version was excellent and with A-ly-ya in it made it even better. I have added in a portion of the CD cover in the attached... -
Negima! – Spring OVA
Posted on November 11, 2006 | 2 CommentsAfter all those months, this post didnt have any kind of review in it O_O. Althrough I do remember doing it I will just have to do it again. This OVA is the first of the two Negima OVA’s currently out and focuses on the events from the manga when Asuna is angry and Negi (For the manga for not taking her somewhere and in this… blowing up her skirt with his sneeze) but this is just a little bit too much fanservice for me althrough it does offer a fairly good story and some of the best art SHAFT has ever made. -
Rozen Maiden Traumend – Review
Posted on November 11, 2006 | No CommentsThis series is just the same as Rozen Maiden.... BRILLIANT! Each episode has much to be desired with good visuals, wonderful sound and a superb storyline. -
Asatte no Houkou – Episode 1 (Wishing Stone)
Posted on October 10, 2006 | No CommentsThe episode starts with Shouko running into a young girl named Karada who is praying at a wish stone. They talk for a bit then the lady sits down and prays with her. A little while later Karada’s older brother Hiro-nii comes and realises who she is with. It appears as through they know each other from previously. -
Rozen Maiden – Review
Posted on October 9, 2006 | No CommentsThis series is one of my personal favourites, The graphics are very good, the sound is diverse and the storyline is very strong. The characters are all distinct and likable. This is one of the series I actually wish was licenced and I am surprised that no company has yet due to the large fanbase. My favourite episode would definately have to be number 5 which has now become the Rozen Maiden trademark blooper episode since they also made the 5th episode of Traumend like it also. Now for the results:
