Back This Weekend With (Hopefully) Lots of Reviews!
Posted on May 16, 2013 | No CommentsHow I feel on a weekend! Provided this nasty cold has passed through my system, I should be back this weekend with a couple of new reviews, hopefully including titles from the Australian anime publishers as well as a review of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen and potentially a couple of other video game titles I have on my backlog. As I am writing up a few documents for uni related matters, any news that is announced on Friday will be posted up as soon as possible… although... -
Looking at Potentially a Few More Japanese Game Reviews
Posted on May 12, 2013 | No CommentsI have noticed that it has been quite a while since I last reviewed a Japanese game on The Otaku’s Study, despite the amount of Japanese video game news that is covered here. Thinking back… the last review would be of Tales of Xillia 2 all the way back in December. While nothing is set in stone just yet, I am looking at acquiring both Gal☆Gun on the Playstation 3 and Soreyuke! Burunyanman Portable for the Playstation Portable, both of which are set to be... -
Site Update: Am Back, Interview with Makoto Shinkai Should Be Up Today!
Posted on May 5, 2013 | No CommentsIf you haven’t already gathered from my recent posts (More catching-up to follow later this morning), I have worked my way through the hurdles of three assignments due in one weekend and am back to my posting. First on the agenda is to get my interview with Makoto Shinkai from last weekends Gold Coast Film Festival screening of The Garden of Words up. In the meantime, don’t forget to check my review of the film HERE. -
Site Update: May Be Away For a Day or Two
Posted on May 3, 2013 | No CommentsJust a quick update, with deadline for University assignment’s drawing close, I will not be updating The Otaku’s Study for the next day or two to give myself the time to complete them all. All articles will be backlogged and caught up hopefully on Sunday. -
Site Update: The State of Reviews
Posted on April 29, 2013 | No CommentsAside my interview with Mamoru Hosoda last week, you may have noticed that the last review I posted up was for Fractale on the 16th April 2013. Just to let everyone know that reviews should begin again at latest starting next Monday. My lecturer’s have chosen to have three of my assignments due on pretty much subsequent days at the end of the week, so I would rather not compromise quality and get these three out of the way to free up as much time... -
It is Exam Time Once Again!
Posted on April 14, 2013 | No CommentsWhile I haven’t really had to ensure University exams for at least two years now, turns out I have two over the next three days and require more time to study for them. Therefore, while I will try and get articles out as soon as possible – most of my reviews will be backlogged until Wednesday at the earliest. -
A Look at a Few of the Reviews in the Works
Posted on April 9, 2013 | No CommentsAs usual, I have a few reviews planned for the coming week and would like to give you an idea of what is already in the works. The three titles I currently have in the works for release over the next couple of days include: Fractale – Siren Visual Set in the far future, where a system of satellites known as the Fractale system, runs and maintains a virtual world for the real world who interacts with dopples and virtual avatars. When Clain meets a girl,... -
Reviews To Begin Tomorrow
Posted on March 25, 2013 | No CommentsAs you may have noticed, the last week reviews have been far and few between. Due to my taking a week off for bereavement, I came back to a big pile of Uni work which I have only just today caught back up on – thus while I have somehow been keeping up with articles it hasn’t fared so well for reviews. So, while I intend on relaxing a bit tonight, tomorrow will see more articles written up including some of the following reviews that are first... -
Posts on The Otaku’s Study to Resume
Posted on March 9, 2013 | No CommentsJust shy of a week since I made the announcement that all posting will be halted on The Otaku’s Study, I am glad to inform everyone that posts will soon begin to be made once again…. once I can find out where my backlog of posts actually start. Unfortunately my Grandfather passed away last Sunday morning, and rather then just sit around and grieve I decided to take action in ensuring his funeral – which was held a couple of days ago – was fitting... -
There Will Be No Posts on The Otaku’s Study For the Next Few Days
Posted on March 3, 2013 | 1 CommentWhile it is unfortunate, especially considering the number of new video game releases set to appear on store shelves this month – I will not be able to write any articles on The Otaku’s Study until at the very earliest Sunday. You may recall a few days that I posted up, and later removed a post saying that due to a family incident it would be hard to maintain the website for a few days…. while it was originally removed due to a good prospect... -
More Reviews to Begin Rolling Out Today
Posted on February 15, 2013 | No CommentsAs you can probably tell, nothing much in terms of reviews have been posted up on The Otaku’s Study over the last week. This has unfortunately been due to some issues outside of my control, however from today and especially into next week I plan to have a few more reviews out on this site. With many big video game and anime releases set to finally kick off the gaming market for this month – expect to see some reviews of both major and smaller... -
Review of Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl Due out Today – Rest of the Weeks Plans
Posted on February 5, 2013 | No CommentsWhile it was my intention on having a review out for the title this evening, I would just like to let everyone know that my review of NIS America’s latest anime release “Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl” (Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko) is set for release sometime today. As for the rest of the weeks review plans, because in the coming weeks we are expecting a number of major video game releases releases… this week will be dedicated more-so to reviewing some of the anime titles in...
