Alan Wake PC Limited Edition Contents Detailed
Posted on February 15, 2012 | No Comments“I like the Alan Wake series” is the most simplest ways I can describe this series…. perhaps handing it a medal stating “The Otaku’s Study – Game of the Year 2010″ might also describe it nicely. As many of you should now know, the PC version of Alan Wake is due for release shortly and therefore the limited edition for it has been detailed. Nordic Games, the distributor of Remedy Entertainment’s game on the PC will “include a wealth of amazing content offering incredible value for both fans of the award winning game and those new to the psychological thriller”... -
Remedy Entertainment Sit Down and Do Their First Developer Diary of Alan Wake: American Nightmare
Posted on February 7, 2012 | No CommentsLong time readers will no doubt know that the original Alan Wake game released on the XBox360 in 2010 received my “Game of the Year 2010″ award for its clever writing, intreguing gameplay surrounding “Light and Darkness” as well as the obvious effort that was put into making it a stellar game. Remedy Entertainment recently had the development team sit down and do the first of what hopes to be a number of developer diaries for Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, giving fans the chance to get some information directly from the development team and get to see some exclusive footage. I will... -

Next Alan Wake Game is Titled “Alan Wake: American Nightmare”
Posted on December 11, 2011 | No CommentsBringing you back to around this time last year, I did my “Best Games of 2010″ article which saw my Game of 2010 being Alan Wake, a mystery/action/horror game for the XBox360 which has for the last few months been teasing a non-DLC sequel. At the Spike’s Video Game Awards 2011 held last night, they unveiled that the next instalment in the series will be Alan Wake: American Nightmare. While the overall story has not been confirmed there are many possibilities on how it could be linked, due to the game taking place in an entirely new environment with new characters but... -
The Next Alan Wake Game is…….
Posted on November 4, 2011 | No CommentsWhile Remedy Entertainment is apparently saving the games proper announcement until Spike’s VGA Award Show, Major Nelson through his Twitter Feed has announced a small bit of information about the upcoming Alan Wake title. It is uncertain if the game will be Alan Wake II or another in between game as the original two DLC were, however the game will be released on XBox Live over a physical release, and will be a standalone game, meaning that you don’t need to own Alan Wake to play the game – but it will almost certainly help. Alan Wake was initially released... -
Alan Wake: The Signal DLC – Review
Posted on September 22, 2010 | No CommentsAlan Wake: The Signal, is the first DLC title for the Alan Wake series. Personally, I do not like paid DLC content in games as I do believe that, if it can be made into DLC it SHOULD be available in the game. However, I will ignore that for this review since this content did come with my Collectors Edition. Since this is a DLC, it will be a relatively short review however since this was not covered in the main review, no harm in reviewing this. This takes sometime after the end of the main game therefore be warned... -
Alan Wake – Review
Posted on August 31, 2010 | 1 CommentWelcome to The Otaku’s Study, XBox360! This marks the first review of an XBox360 game, and if you have had time to read my Xbox profile (Scroll a few posts down), then you may ask why I chose this game over all the others? This game has a different sort of gameplay to the rest of the games I have on the system, it is similar in form to Heavy Rain, that it attempts to tell a story rather then act like a game, however in comparison, Heavy Rain is more storyline oriented whilst Alan Wake is more game oriented....
