Umineko no Naku Koro ni – Anime Preview Bits (Ending)
Posted on June 22, 2009 | No CommentsSource: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htsGHiKSTbg & http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/nm7390170 I have an exam to study for so my comments will be brief. Never expected anything like this but I actually think this will be a pretty good ED theme if they offer good animation to it, which was semi-lacking in all three Higuashi series. But hey, it is promising at the moment! -
Umineko no Naku Koro ni – Anime Preview
Posted on June 16, 2009 | No CommentsSo yes, we finally have some animated footage of Umineko no Naku Koro ni….. So what does everyone think of it? Disappointed? Thrilled? Excited? So restless you start mimicing some of the Hinamizawa Syndrome symptoms? It shall be released on July 2nd 2009 so if you are interested, mark it on your calender. I hope to get my review on the first episode up on the day. My only comment on this trailer…. where is Kyrie in the trailer? She is most probably my favourite... -
Umineko no Naku Koro ni – Anime Preview Pieces
Posted on June 15, 2009 | 2 CommentsHalf of the OP Theme Some clips of the anime as taken from the official site “http://umineko.tv” Looks promising this season. The Anime OP is titled One-Winged Bird which is sung by Shikata Akiko and has the same tone as the games opening Umineko no Naku Koro ni. I would consider these two on par with each other and I look forward to getting my hands on the album which is released sometime in August. Just finished playing the 4th episode of the game and... -
Autumn 2009 (Japanese Spring 2009) Anime Season | First Impressions II
Posted on April 14, 2009 | No CommentsWell, the second round of reviewing this seasons anime list shall be my last post until I come back. Valkyria Chronicles “Well I have played the demo version of this on the PSN shop however I never got around to purchasing it. Quality looks pretty good and carries some of that charm that the game had with the character designs and artwork. I may consider watching it depending on how the second episode goes. Decent fallback anime if nothing else impresses me.” Chance of Watching:... -
Autumn 2009 (Japanese Spring 2009) Anime Season | First Impressions
Posted on April 11, 2009 | No CommentsHigurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei “This is the OVA sequel to the two Higurashi TV seasons. I still am planning on reviewing both the first and second episodes of this however…. I keep forgetting to do it. Overall however, the second episode was much better than the “fanservice” first episode.“ Chance of Blogging: ****/5 (Good) Chance of Watching: *****/5 (Excellent) . . . -
Macademi Wasshoi! – Episode 5
Posted on November 10, 2008 | 1 CommentThis was a very disturbing episode, as you can see from the graphics, althrough it was done very well. Fighting against a very strong man who harms by kissing and charming, very difficult to beat, with all the main characters feeling ill even before seeing him up close. Also, I hope they keep Takuto's gender change through to the next episode, I can see some interesting things coming from this. -

Kyo no Gononi – Episode 2
Posted on October 16, 2008 | No CommentsThis episode was, in comparison to the previous one, much more humerous then the last one, despite the added ecchi scenes which were not as minimal as previously. It is so good to finally see another series which reaches par in regards to School Comedy, which had the record set by Azumanga Daioh. It was very enjoyable to watch as a newbie to the series (I never watched the OVA) but I would like to see a few episodes of it to do a comparison. I wonder how many episodes this is going to be as I am hoping it can pull off a set of 26 episodes however with many animes nowadays, I am still expecting it to just hit 12/13. -
Macademi Wasshoi! – Episode 2
Posted on October 15, 2008 | No CommentsQuality remains the same as last episode however the use of graphics this time was an improvement in comparison to last episode, as they used a wide variety of different costumes, background/new characters as well as well, ears to a great affect. Everything overall was both very kawaii as well as detailed, especially all of the students slowly turning into animals. I also feel I must comment again on the censorship of the episodes, I think that the clay models they use to replace the characters during the ecchi etc scenes were done in the most innovative way I have seen yet. -
Kyo no Gononi – Episode 1
Posted on October 10, 2008 | 2 CommentsI shall be honest, I have not read the manga or watched the OVA series of Kyo no Gononi (Also known as Today in Class 5-2 and Kyo no 5 no 2), so I am unable to comment on the differences between this and the other forms of this series except from what I have read and a few images I have seen. I really liked this anime, bringing the anime genre that Azumanga Daioh departed with and has not been seen since. I have always liked the style where they split the episode up into several segments. -
To Aru Majutsu no Index – Episode 1
Posted on October 8, 2008 | No CommentsOpening Theme: PSI-missing by Mami Kawada - For the style of anime this is, I was not really expecting an opening theme this good, however it was a really nice surprise to see it how it turned out. From everything I have watched so far this season, this is definately the best opening sequence. First of all, I loved the suspenseful tune of the music, wasn't classical, wasn't happy just suspenseful. (Cannot really describe it in any other way) The animation was also very good! -
Macademi Wasshoi! – Episode 1
Posted on October 7, 2008 | No CommentsI was very skeptical about this series after dealing with a show like Kyouran Kazoku Nikki, which ended up rather funny in the first episode or two however managed to lose my interest afterwards. Whilst I still have that thought in the back of my mind watching this series, I do feel more optimistic with this series than Kyouran Kazoku Nikki. This is simply due to the fact that it does not try and focus on being completely random, and has a structured storyline, instead of just each episode being different.
