Here at The Otaku’s Study I love niche and unique ideas, and one of the recent Kickstarter campaigns that hit my inbox really surprised me because I never really thought of it as being a major hobby – even if I am intrigued by the idea. The team at Singaporean based start up Sakura Doujin have launched a new IndieGoGo campaign for their upcoming book Snap Fig.

This is a photo book covering figurine photography, which highlights photographs of different characters from different media franchise taken around the world. What makes this book different is that they will be providing technical details such as ISO, F Stop etc. in order to help budding photographers get into a similar style of photography. There will also be a behind the scenes section, which will highlight how photographers light up their subjects.

With a $6,000 goal the group have currently achieved $775 with another 37 days to go, plenty of time for them to achieve their goal. For more information and to pledge funds, check out their crowdfunding page HERE.
