Blik-0 Launches on iTunes Store – Acttil Celebrates Their First Ever Launch

Blik-0

Founded by three former members of the Nippon Ichi Software America team, Acttil is a brand new localization and publishing company that have announced a few of titles since their launch a couple of months ago. However up until now they had yet to publish something…. and while it may not be a video game their first title should appeal to anyone who knows the name Nobuo Uematsu.

The company have today announced that Blik-0 1946, a picture e-book written by the renowned video game composer Nobuo Uematsu (Of Final Fantasy acclaim) is now available for purchase via the iTunes Store for the iPad. While currently only available on the iPad at a price of $9.99, they have confirmed that they are working on bringing out an iPhone version soon. Good news for my Aussie readers! They have also chosen not to region lock the eBook from our region, and it is available for purchase at the same price.

Fans of Nobuo Uematsu’s music will also be able to enjoy his three original music tracks, two of which come with lyrics written by Nobuo Uematsu. The original music written by Nobuo Uematsu featured in the story are “Blik-0 1946,” “Ah, But Why?,” and “So Close.” Readers can have these expressive and thematic tracks play while they read the story to enhance their experience*.

Blik-0 1946 is a story about a robot named “Blik-0,” created by a reputable artificial intelligence scientist, Dr. Mabuse. Blik-0 is a robot built with functions that let him emulate the human heart and brain. As he experiences life the way humans do, he starts to struggle with feelings and emotions like sadness, heartache, anger, and love.

*Acttil have also included a note that when you are playing the music while reading the eBook, the music may stop as the pages turn.
