Australian Developed Games Showcase in 30ish Second Bites – Part #1

-

For one of my university assignments this semester I was made to put together an online news article for any topic of my choosing. Rather than start up a whole new blog that would most likely be abandoned at the end of semester, I chose to write up an article on The Otaku’s Study which just went live this afternoon (See: Australian Indie Development Scene and Screen Australia’s Interactive Games Fund – Beneficial, Limited or a Waste of Money?).

As the article was focusing on the Australian game development scene, I put together a video compilation of snippets from different Australian developed games. While the first part was incorporated into the article for the sake of it, I would like to make this a regular feature on the site…. so I present to you a new video game series: Australian Developed Games Showcase in 30ish Second Bites.

The first installment available above shows 30ish second glimpses at the following games:

Dustforce by Hitbox Team
Antichamber by Alexander Bruce
Assault Android Cactus by Witch Beam
Mini Motor Racing EVO by The Binary Mill
Ty the Tasmanian Tiger by Krome Studios

These were just five games I have lying around on my Steam list (or in the case of Ty the Tasmanian Tiger – lying around my house). Three of the studios mentioned above (Hitbox Team, Witch Beam and The Binary Mill) were also interviewed for my above video.

If you are an Australian indie developer who would like to see your title showcased in this video series, or would like to potentially see your titles promoted on The Otaku’s Study, get in touch via the CONTACT page.
