Friday Night May Be Anime Movie Night this Month – New Anime Film to Be Available Each Friday During March

-

Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment have routinely offered a variety of new and classic anime titles through their AnimeLab video-on-demand service, complementing their seasonal line-up of weekly simulcast based on whats on in Japan. Do you find yourself wanting to end another working week by lounging on the couch and watching a film rather than an entire season of episodes? Madman have you covered this month.

During the month of March 2017, the publisher will offer a new movie at 3.00pm every Friday. The first title for this month is the 2012 film Blue Exorcist: The Movie – based on the original supernatural action manga written and illustrated Kazue Katou and TV anime animated by A-1 Pictures. You can read my review of this particular film HERE.

Madman Entertainment have yet to provide hints about which other films will be available for streaming each week. However, their dedicated “March Movies” page hints that both “new and old favourite movies” will be headed to AnimeLab.

This offer is only available for Premium Subscribers to the AnimeLab service. If you want to know more about the difference between a free and premium membership, click HERE.

Rather own a disc copy of Blue Exorcist: The Movie? You can also pick it up a copy on DVD or Blu-ray either via Madman Entertainment’s online store or your local anime retailer.

About Blue Exorcist: The Movie

Everyone is in the midst of preparing for a festival which is celebrated once every 11 years in True Cross Academy Town. However, behind the scenes in the shadows, a “Phantom Train” goes berserk while the barriers protecting the town from demon intrusions are under repair. Rin, Yukio, and Shiemi are sent to exorcise the Phantom Train, but as usual Rin complicates the situation.

Amidst the chaos, Rin meets a demon in the form of a young boy. Meanwhile, Cheng-Long Liu, a Senior Exorcist First Class from the Taiwan Branch joins Shura in the repair operation and the story takes an unexpected turn as all their fates cross…
