Saban Brands have announced they are launching a new “Netflix Original” series targeted towards kids known as Glitter Force. The first 20 episode season will be available via Netflix worldwide (excluding Asia) on December 18 2015.
The artwork might be familiar to some anime aficionados, as this was originally released in Japan under the title Smile PreCure. This will be an adapted version of the series, and given the target demographic, will be only available in English at this time. It is currently unknown if Saban Brands have plans to release an uncut version sometime in the future.
About Glitter Force
The new series follows five preteen girls who learn that they are a legendary superhero squad known as the Glitter Force. As a part of the Glitter Force, these fabulous friends transform from ordinary school girls into super powered cool girls to defend Earth from evil fairytale villains. It isn’t an easy job, but the Glitter Force proves that nothing is more powerful than friendship!
