During an event earlier today, the team at Spike Chunsoft shared two new videos for their now popular Danganronpa franchise.
The first trailer (available above) focuses on the previously unveiled New Danganronpa V3 video game / visual novel. This serves as the third main title in the Danganronpa series, and is set to take place in the “Gifted Inmates Academy”. There will once again be a brand new batch of characters who will face off against Monokuma and be pitted against one another through class trials. The Class Trial system will be improved upon, particularly with the new “Lie” system. New Danganronpa V3 will be available on the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 at a later date.
The second trailer (available below) focuses on the new anime series set to air in 2016. This will not be an adaptation of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair despite it being teased at the end of Danganronpa the Animation. Instead, the anime will be titled Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak Academy, and will feature at least four surviving characters from Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc according to the trailer – Makoto Naegi, Kyoko Kirigiri, Aoi Asahina and Yasuhiro Hagakure.
