Providing an early Christmas gift for fans on the Monogatari series, Aniplex of America have today confirmed they will be screening Kizumonogatari Part 1: Tekketsu in select cinemas across the US starting February 26 2016. At the moment only their screening plans have been announced, with more information about which cinemas will be holding screenings to be announced at a later date.
Kizumonogatari Part 1: Tekketsu is the first chapter in a three-part film series, and like past instalments, will be available with the original Japanese dub w/ English subtitles.
Kizumonogatari Part 1: Tekketsu tells the origin story of the Monogatari series originally created by author Nisioishin and a direct prequel to Bakemonogatari. The story follows the protagonist Koyomi Araragi and his encounter with the horrifying vampire, Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade A.K.A. the “King of Apparitions”. Koyomi saves Kiss-shot who was fatally wounded by offering his blood to her in exchange for his own life as a human.
