Sentai Filmworks License ‘Beautiful Bones -Sakuranko’s Investigation-‘

Set to begin airing in Japan this month, North American anime publisher Sentai Filmworks have announced that they now hold the rights to ‘Beautiful Bones -Sakuranko’s Investigation-‘, also known in Japan as 櫻子さんの足下には死体が埋まっている. This anime adaptation is based on the original light novel series by Shiori Ota.

Beautiful Bones -Sakuranko’s Investigation- follows a series of incidents surrounding a normal high school student Shotaro Tatawaki, his older girlfriend Sakurako Kujo, and her infatuation for “beautiful bones”.

This anime adaptation see’s Makoto Kato making his director debut, with Michio Sato serving as chief animation director / character designer. Takayo Ikami is responsible for series composition, while music production is being provided by TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND. The animation is being handled by animation studio TROYCA, who recently worked on ALDNOAH.ZERO.

Beautiful Bones -Sakuranko’s Investigation- is set to begin streaming through select video-on-demand outlets this month. A home video release is set to follow.
