The team behind this year’s SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show have today confirmed that Reika Arikawa (Aka. Reika [麗華]) will be attending the festivities in August. This will be her second time that she will be attending the event, hopefully showing off her elaborate hand-made costumes and accurate portrayal of male characters.
During SMASH! 2014, Reika hosted a hair and makeup panel, in addition to joining in during various other activities including karaoke, the cosplay catwalk and the maid cafe.
SMASH! President Andrew Qiu had this to say: On behalf of SMASH!, we are ecstatic to welcome Reika back to SMASH! where she belongs. Fans unanimously want to see Reika again, and it is no doubt that Reika wants to revisit SMASH! as well. Not only does Reika love the cosplay atmosphere at SMASH!, but she also loves the energetic vibe that attendees bring to the event.
SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show 2015 is set to be held at Rosehill Gardens on August 8th and 9th 2015.
