Madman Begin Streaming Eden of the East via AnimeLab 1

Following their addition of Strike Witches onto the AnimeLab service just yesterday, Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment have confirmed that noitaminA TV anime Eden of the East is now streaming via the service. As with all other steams on AnimeLab, all 11 episodes can be watched at no charge by those residing in Australia and New Zealand.

At this time, only Japanese dubbed versions of the episodes can be watched for free. Those looking to watch them with English dubbing will need to pick up either a DVD or Blu-ray collection of the series. While you can shop around at retailers for a potentially better price, the Madman Entertainment website currently has DVD and Blu-ray sets going for $39.99. There are also two OVA movies which are sold separately ($14.95 apiece) or a TV+Movies set for $59.99 on either format.

Akira Takizawa wakes up naked outside the White House with no memories. He’s got a gun in one hand and a cell phone in the other, and he doesn’t know if he’s a good guy or one of the worst. He doesn’t remember that the phone gives him instant access to ten billion yen and a woman who can make his most outlandish requests a reality. He doesn’t recall his connection to the ongoing missile attacks terrorizing the Japanese people, or the part he played in the sudden disappearance of 20,000 shut-ins. He doesn’t even remember he’s supposed to save Japan and will be murdered if he fails. Whatever it is he’s tangled up in, Takizawa’s definitely in deep – and that’s not even scratching the surface.
