As mentioned the other week, Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment are hosting a community poll to determine who the biggest “Anime Champion” is out of the series that they hold the rights to. While they already have a sizable collection of names via the event page, there was a risk that through human error they missed out on the communities actual “Anime Champion”. Therefore they opened up four wildcard spots to submit suggestions on, which would be opened up during the event.
The first has today been unlocked, featuring Kamina from Gurren Lagann. Despite only being made available for voting four hours ago, he has accumulated a considerable number of votes – but far from enough to take down current leader Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
