Trailing behind Madman Entertainment who licensed the film for Australia more than six months ago and have already screened it, North American anime publisher Funimation Entertainment have today confirmed their acquisition of Bayonetta: Bloody Fate. Based on the events of the very first Bayonetta video game, this is an alternate retelling with many new events despite ultimately reaching a similar conclusion.
While release and screening plans have not been confirmed, Funimation have announced that they are inviting director Fuminori Kizaki to attend Anime Expo 2014. A sneak peek at the English dub will be screened at the event, along with a special Q&A event following it on July 5th at 8:15PM in “Video 1”
