Madman Entertainment Announce AnimeLab, New Anime Simulcast and Streaming Service

Remember that mysterious video that Madman Entertainment shared via their social media channels the other week? While I may have associated it with their new Transformers website by accident (Whoops!), it turns out that Madman have been hard at work on a new standalone streaming service named AnimeLab. This new service will serve as a successor to their “Madman Screening Room” which was built into their website and saw episodes of Kill la Kill taken from their servers before the Japanese air date back in November 2013.

Currently they are aiming to offer anime hits and simulcasts direct from Japan to Australian and New Zealand audiences. The app is mobile and tablet-ready, and supports Google Chromecast. There are over 50 shows and 700 episodes available at launch (Including Riddle Story of Devil, Date A Live II and Sword Art Online), with more to populate the site over the coming weeks, months and years.

Best of all, while it is currently in “BETA”, content will be available free-of-charge for a limited time without any ads. But don’t let me hold you up…. click the image above to check out the site for yourself.
