With the release of a new Pokemon video game comes the inevitable release of the anime series to go with the new region and Pokemon within it. Describing January 2014 as being a “month of firsts” on the Cartoon Network in North America, The Pokemon Company International have shared dates and times for debuts of the new television series and three animated specials – including one I am sure many older Pokemon fans will remember (Hint: I went to see this film four times when it was in cinemas…. and got all the four TCG cards that went with it).
- Pokémon: The First Movie is making its digitally remastered return on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 8:30 a.m. ET/PT. Reunite with old friends, Misty and Brock, and battle familiar enemies, Mewtwo and Giovanni!
- On Saturday, January 11, 2014, catch the animated special, Pokémon: Mewtwo—Prologue to Awakening, airing at 8:30 a.m. ET/PT. It’s the prequel to Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened that follows at 9:00 a.m. ET/PT.
- Join Ash and friends as they embark on their new adventure in the Kalos region in the much anticipated season premiere of Pokémon the Series: XY on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at 8:30 a.m. ET/PT.
