Nippon Ichi Software America seemed to earn a good rapport with the anime community by publishing the anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day TV series last year that also walked away with the title of “The Otaku’s Study North American Anime Release of the Year 2012”. But as it was recently announced, handling of the movie based on the series at this time falls on Aniplex of America. The publisher has confirmed that they will be holding screenings of the film in select theaters across the United States from the 18th January 2014 and in Canada on the 9th February 2014.

Ticketholders have the opportunity to receive exclusive promotional items when they attend the screening. One of these items is the “Letters from Menma” featuring a replica of the letters written by “Menma” in the movie. This set also includes some flower seeds the viewer can plant. Along with the “Letters from Menma” set, ticketholders can also receive The Anohana Movie poster. These promotional items will be available in limited quantity and will be available only while supplies last.

Do note that as with the TV series, there is no anime dub for the film and will be screened with English subtitles and the original Japanese dub.
