Late last month, legendary anime film director Makoto Shinkai and several other members of CoMix Wave Films headed down under to the world premiere of The Garden of Words as part of the Gold Coast Film Festival. To date this film has not even been aired in Japan yet, but is set to appear in cinemas within Japan from the 31st May 2013.
During an airing of The Place Promised in Our Early Days, TV Tokyo aired the first five minutes of the film which you can have a peek at above. Fortunately the early scenes don’t give away too much of the plot – instead giving you a look into just some of the scenery porn you will be able to gaze at during pretty much every minute of the 46-minute film.
